Community multibed acupuncture projects are becoming more and more popular as a means of providing an affordable alternative to conventional one to one sessions. Couches are screened off to afford some privacy, and needles are left in place while the practitioners circulate between couches.

The community clinic runs on Wednesday mornings at the Croydon Buddhist centre from 10am to 1pm. These sesssions are ideal for anyone wishing to keep up regular treatments either to maintain health or to deal with chronic stubborn problems.

Patients fill out a medical history form and then get on one of three couches. Needles are placed then left if place while you relax for 20-30 minutes. Please be mindful of the others in the room, keeping conversation and voices minimal. Should you require a one to one session this can be arranged too.

Treatment costs: £15-£25. Pay what you can afford.
